QoLs and Gameplay Changes

  • Killstreak system revamp
    • Killstreak rewards and the Killjoy system have been revamped! 
      • Originally designed in 2015, this system had become far too antiquated, and far less significant than originally intended
         
    • Killjoy rewards
      • Having a 25+ killstreak puts a bounty on your head (in cash bags) based on the formula: Bags = Opponent's Streak / 3
      • For example, if you kill someone on a 150 killstreak, you'll receive 50x cash bags
      • Killjoy rewards cap at 100x cash bags (300 killstreak killjoy)
         
    • Killstreak BM bonus
      • Before this update, bonus blood money was your streak divided by 4, capped at 15
        • Meaning after 60 streak (60 / 4 = 15), bonuses wouldn't improve
      • Now once you hit that +15 bonus (60 streak) instead of capping, the formula adjusts to 1/15 of your streak for the remaining amount
        • Nonetheless, there is still a cap of +50 BM in order to maintain balance -- but still allow bonuses to stretch far more than before
      • As a result, BM bonus continues to slightly increase when at a 100+, 250+, or even a 500 killstreak
      • This new formula may be hard to grasp, but for those who are curious about how it works: 
        • [If streak less than or equal to 60]: blood money = streak / 4 (original formula)
        • [If streak greater than 60]: blood money = 15 + ((streak - 60) / 15) (new scale formula)
           
    • Our goal was to make your (or your opponent's) killstreak finally feel valuable the more it grows -- rather than pointless from such short caps
    • We hope you guys enjoy these new changes - please let us know if you have any suggestions for improvements!

  • Mad hatter pet
    • As some of you may have suggested/reported, there are a lot of mad hatter pets in-game, despite how powerful it is
    • Some of the mad hatter pet's effects have been reduced
      • The dance effect now does +7.5% damage, instead of +15% for example
         
    • You can now enchant 5x mad hatter pets for a Psychotic mad hatter pet (100% enchant chance)
      • The psychotic mad hatter pet has the pre-nerf strength of mad hatter, but also slightly better healing & accuracy than before
      • His appearance is slightly bigger than the regular mad hatter, different colors, and a flaming skull for a head (if particles enabled)

  • Other / Miscellaneous
    • Added a ::renderself command to hide your player view from your client (others can still see you, of course)
       
    • Infernal kraken (superior boss) has been weakened, as it was reported to be too difficult
      • (Infernal kraken was never intended to be more difficult than other superiors)
      • Its attacks now deal 10-35 damage (like other superior bosses) rather than 30-55
      • Its attacks now also have an extra tick on the hitsplat delay to make more time for prayer switching
         
    • Infernal trident drop rate is now more rare
      • Given that it is one of the best autocast staves in the game, we want to raise its value and prevent oversaturation
         
    • Looting bag deposit QoLs
      • The "deposit inventory" button in your bank will now auto-deposit all your looting bag items
      • The "deposit all" button next to your minimap will now auto-depsoit all your looting bag items
         
    • Ancient crossbow special attack's second hit now has a proper hitsplat delay (1 tick longer than before).
      • Prior to this patch, ACB's 2nd hit occurred far too quickly, often not even giving opponents a chance to eat (instant KO)

         
    • EdgePvP has received some QoLs
      • Killstreaks, ELO, KDR, etc. now fully apply in EdgePvP
      • Added restriction to Cudgels
      • Removed restriction from Blood looting bags
      • Removed restriction from Xerician robes
      • Removed restriction from Kodai wands
      • Removed restriction from Berserker necklace (or)
      • Removed restriction from Obsidian maul (or)
         
    • Removed primal mystery box announcements from yell chat broadcasts
       
    • Added a cooldown to the stairs at rogue's castle (similar to the stair dungeon entrance cooldown near MB)
       
    • You can now right-click "Remove dye" from winter 2020 dyed items: Enchanted boots/gloves (i), Ava's assembler (i)
      • It will give a warning dialogue upon attempt, that you do not receive the dye back upon removal!

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where certain clicks wouldn't register (such as spell casting on targets) depending on the position of the screen you clicked
    • Issues for this have been fixed in both fixed mode AND resizable mode:

  • Fixed multiple issues with void set bonuses
    • Fixed an issue where void mage helms were not giving proper set bonuses
    • Fixed an issue where elite void set bonuses was in some cases stronger than cursed void set bonuses
    • Fixed an issue where void range/melee set bonus gave benefits of all combat styles (melee, mage, and range) rather than their respective ones
    • In addition, I wanted to clear a misunderstanding about reports of cursed void having the same stats as elite void
  • Fixed issue where the heavy ballista double shot (swift/e-gloves proc) had potential for hitting over 100
  • Fixed issue where Karil's + AoTD double shot effect would override the intended caps for double shot on certain weapons (tbow, acb, etc.)
  • Fixed the accuracy of teleblock being too high when wearing gear with low magic bonus
  • Fixed mythic cape & wings not auto-looting token drops from monsters spawned via mythic zone spawner
  • Fixed infernal flippers not giving unlimited stamina
  • Fixed yells from non-donator players w/ yell tags appearing even with the "Yell" chat filter disabled
  • Fixed protection value of Easter DH pieces
  • Fixed the blood looting bag working at Skotizo lair
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't drink potions during the duel arena countdown (for regular ::stake duels, not for duels with potions disabled of course!)

Looking ahead (future plans)

  • Our realistic ETA for the summer event is on June 13th
     
  • After the summer event releases, the goal for this second half of 2021 is to at least drop gameplay/qol/patch updates bi-weekly (every 2 weeks)
    • We're hoping this not only gives you guys a better feeling on the care this server is getting, but also gradually fix bugs & improve existing content
    • This is also the plan for SPK's sister server, RuneX. We've agreed that this kind of a schedule will keep both servers in a well-kept rotation rather than attention always leaning more on one or the other.
    • Tevin may periodically host live QA/Feedback sessions on our discord like we did for this update, to give you guys what you really want!
       
  • Further gameplay improvements, bug fixes, etc. that you guys requested are still on our TO-DO list!
    • There's a lot more planned, we just didn't want to prolong this update and create a domino effect (where the Summer Event would get delayed too)
    • With our new bi-weekly patch schedule, you'll see plenty more great changes & fixes throughout the summer!

excited for the event hope it is 126 combat req and the f2p event is removed should be wild only

Hello mate,

I see the bug with the enchanted assembler (i) (dyed) is still not fixed to buy a grand comp ranged cape. Can you pls fix this problem?
