[January 19th, 2019] Blood Hydra, New Weapons, Risk Fighting, and MUCH more!

Content updates:

  • Blood Hydra (singles wilderness boss)
    • This new boss has been added at level 30 wilderness (singles)
      • You can access this boss from the Boss Teleports menu in your spellbook
    • It drops a variety of BRAND NEW items, including:
      • Dragon knives
        • New best-in-slot throwing knives, dropped at a common rate!
        • Special attack: Throws two knives at once, with their own individual damage & accuracy rolls
      • Devout boots
        • Bonus effect: 10% chance for your hits to restore prayer by smited amount (soulsplit included)
      • Brimstone ring
        • Bonus effect: 20% chance to ignore 15% of enemy magic defenses
      • Ferocious gloves
        • New best-in-slot melee gloves!
      • Dragon hunter lance
        • Deals bonus damage to all draconic and wyvern creatures
        • Special attack: This unique special attack can be used at ANY special attack percentage. The higher your special attack percentage, the higher the damage and accuracy bonus.
      • Dragon hasta
        • Possesses a similar special attack to the Dragon hunter lance, but with inferior equipment stats
      • Blood hydra pet
        • Pet has a chance to inflict lightning damage to your target
        • Hits also have a chance to inflict Hydra Disease on your opponents
          • Hydra disease deals 5 damage every 20 seconds
          • Can not be cured except for on death, or using the heal button
    • The hydra will attack with its different heads, all of which have different effects and styles
      • Standard attack
        • The Hydra will spit out a red projectile, dealing 10-35 magic damage
        • This is the Hydra's most frequent/common attack style
      • Magic sickness spell
        • When the Hydra spits out a green projectile, it will deal 10-35 magic damage, and inflict magic sickness for 5 minutes
        • Magic sickness prevents you from the ability to teleport above level 20 wilderness with pets & accessories
      • Hydra disease
        • When the hydra spits out a yellow projectil, it will deal 10-35 range damage, and inflict Hydra Disease
        • Hydra disease deals 5 damage every 20 seconds and can not be cured (except for on death, or using the heal feature)
  • Blood orbs (risk fighting)
    • Blood orbs offer a brand new incentive for players to add risk to their fights!
    • You can purchase blood orbs by speaking with Risky Rick at the secondary bank in Edgeville (next to Mandrith)
      • Lesser blood orb
        • Costs: 5x cash bags (500M)
        • +25% blood money from PVP and wilderness PvM
      • Greater blood orb
        • Costs: 50x cash bags (5B)
        • +33% blood money from PvP and wilderness PvM
        • +5% chance for gold artifacts
      • Master blood orb
        • Costs: 100x cash bags (10B)
        • +50% blood money from PvP and wilderness PvM
        • +10% chance for gold artifacts
      • Cursed blood orb
        • Available in the Enchantment chest
        • +100% blood money from PvP and wilderness PvM
        • +25% chance for gold artifacts
    • Blood orbs are always risked on death will drop as 50% of the coin cost to your opponent
      • Cursed orbs drop as 500 bags (50B) on death
    • Upon entering the wilderness, players risking orbs will have a small icon above their head indicating the type of orb they're risking
  • Lava chest
    • Lava keys are now a 1/600 drop from Lava demons (instead of 1/1500)
    • The lava chest common rewards have been buffed
    • The lave chest rare rewards have been buffed, including the new following rewards;
      • 2.5B Coins (in cash bags)
      • 2,500 Blood money
      • 15 Blood diamonds
      • Donator mystery boxes
      • PvP mystery boxes
      • Primal mystery boxes
  • New mythic rank benefits
    • Mythic ornament kits
      • Untradeable kits dropped by Mythic monsters
      • Attaches to obsidian armor to craft Mythic armor
        • Same stats & effect as Cursed armor
        • Additional effect: Boosts drop rate by 2.5% per piece worn
      • These kits can be sold to Hari in the zone for 20B each
    • Mythic dragons
      • Mix of rune dragons, jungle dragon, vorkath, and KBD drop tables
      • Chance to drop Dragon swords
    • Mythic revenants
      • Revenant ether max drop quantity increased to 5x
      • Blood money max drop quantity increased to 5x
      • Special restore drop rate lowered to 1/20
      • Bracelet of ethereum drop rate lowered to 1/33
    • Mythic cape/wings
      • Now doubles all donator ticket drops from PvM
    • Mythic zone
      • You can now heal every 10 seconds in the mythic zone
      • Mythic monsters are now immune to venom
    • Skin color
      • Added a new skin color available at the Makeover mage for Mythic ranks
  • Dragon boots (g)
    • These boots are considered a cosmetic variant for Primordial boots
    • Available for direct purchase in the blood money shop
  • Cursed void
    • Cursed void will no longer have an "unbreakable" feature, and will therefore require repairs on death
      • Upon killing players with cursed void, you will now receive coins (half the repair cost) as a drop!
    • Slightly lowered the magic defense bonuses for cursed void pieces

Bug fixes and patches:

  • Combat improvements and fixes
    • Oldschool 07 ticks
      • The "Oldschool 07 ticks" setting now results in all actions being under the 600ms tick
      • This should result in noticeable improvements for "queuing" your actions
        • Item switching has also been improved as a result of this feature
    • Trident of the swamp
      • Fixed the distancing and animations when attacking with ToTS
    • Ice barrage
      • Improved damage accuracy (not splash/freeze rate accuracy), particularly against players with low magic defense
      • Removed the damage cap for ice barrage in PvM combat
    • Dragon thrownaxes
      • Fixed issues with attack delays after using dragon thrownaxes
    • Zenyte bolts (e)
      • Zenyte bolts (e) have been cosmetically changed to Dragonstone dragon bolts (e)
      • Bolt special attack now has a custom graphic/animation
      • Slightly improved the accuracy
  • Graphical fixes
    • Fixed FPS lag with modern spellbook
    • Fixed primal gloves with two-handed weapons on oldschool graphics
    • Fixed "Add-friend" right click option in chat box for players with mythic rank
    • Fixed Ghrazi rapier animations
  • Instanced bossing
    • Fixed issues with ground items randomly disappearing (vorkath, skotizo, etc.)
  • Mage bank
    • You can no longer teleport out of the mage arena when next to the entrance lever
  • Player-owned houses
    • You can no longer use the PoH spellbook teleport when your house is locked
    • This is to give an option for players who would like to disable it (misclicks, etc.)
    • Staff can now ::teleto players in player-owned houses
  • Vorkath hood
    • You will now also receive a vorkath hood when crafting a vorkath max cape
  • Protection values
    • Increased Amulet of avarice (i) protection value
    • Increased Bloodmancer pendant protection value
  • Loadout system
    • Fixed missing icons for new items in the loadout panel
  • Axe hut
    • Fixed the back door for the magic axe hut

EDIT: Update patches (1/22/2019)

  • Ferocious gloves
    • Increased drop rate to 1/1000
    • Gloves are now autokeep, but still tradeable
  • Dragon sword
    • Added the proper special attack mechanic:
      • Costs 40% special attack
      • Special attack's hit ignores your target's melee protection prayers
  • Magic formula
    • Increased accuracy for teleblock spell
    • Increased accuracy for entangle spell
  • Client fixes
    • Fixed the "skip target" option for when bounty hunter overlay is disabled
  • Fixed debug message in chatbox for dragon lance and dragon hasta special attack

I find this to be a bit controversial..especially mythic benefits since now they're just gonna practically gonna control the eco pretty soon..but that's just my two cents on it.

Why nerf cursed void ffs at least give it +3 str bonus a piece or something
