The current appeals process is slow, opaque, and discouraging. Players submit appeals and hear nothing back for weeks, or months, get a one-line denial with no explanation. This pushes people away permanently, even those who genuinely want to return and contribute to the community. Word spreads, and potential new players hear about it before they even log in.
• Faster appeal turnaround — appeals should receive an initial response within 48–72 hours, even if just an acknowledgment that it’s under review.
• A dedicated appeals team — separate from the moderation team that issued the original ban, to reduce bias and give players a fair hearing.
• Clean slate consideration — if a previously banned player has created a new account with zero infractions over a meaningful period (e.g. 30–60 days), that should carry real weight in the appeal review.
• Tiered ban review — minor offenses (chat violations, first-time rule breaks, old bans from 1+ years ago) should be automatically eligible for appeal re-review, not subject to the same process as severe offenses like cheating or harassment.
• Transparency in outcomes — even denied appeals should come with a clear reason so players understand where they stand.
Every banned player who wanted to return but couldn’t represents a lost community member, lost word-of-mouth, and lost activity on the server. Hundreds of players sitting on the sidelines because of an outdated or minor ban is a fixable problem. A fair, responsive appeals process signals that the staff respect their community — and that alone brings people back.
I just want to reset my password on my in-game account. Its been a while since I have logged in, and I just forgot. I think I will be able to provide all of the information necessary to prove that this is my account if my memory is good enough. Either way, help on this matter is really appreciated. Thanks!
