PK Rating System

SpawnPK now has a scalable rating system for PKing, which is zone specific. Meaning, you have a different PK rating for different zones/regions.

Edgeville PKing rating is the primary one, with its own reward systems.

Rather than going into detail on this post, here's a screenshot from our informative guide available in-game.
It should answer most (if not all) questions you may have about how this works!

Ratings and ranks are represented in-game in various ways!

For example, in Edgeville BH it will show the Edgeville rating/rank of your target on the overlay.

This also applies to secondary rating systems like Deep Wild. If you're not in a rated area, it will default to the old ELO display.

NOTE: You can also right-click "Inspect" players in the wild to view their rating (in a rated area).

Additionally, there is a "top players online" leaderboard for each rating system.

Climbing up the ladder for Edgeville PKing also has tangible benefits!

When you click "View rewards" you will see an explanation of all the rewards your Edgeville PKing rating has to offer

Additionally, it shows more rewards that are in store if you reach the higher ranks!

NOTE: PLEASE READ

In the future, we plan to implement Seasons to this ratings feature.

What this will involve, is every 'x' amount of months (for example 2-3 months) SpawnPK will enter a new season. When the season changes, the top (5-10) players will receive a grand prize, and then everyone's rating will reset back to the default (Bronze 1,500)

The update is not releasing with this feature because we'd like to first collect data on everyone's performance
(Primarily to decide on factors, such as what the duration of a season should be)

Until then, ratings will remain permanent -- we just want to make sure everyone is aware of this future plan beforehand.

 

 

Welfare Mode

We're introducing the new Welfare Mode (discussed in discord #polls) for Edgeville and Pure Zone!

It's perfect for new players who struggle to compete with all of our powerful customs, and it also provides a way for veterans to enjoy PKing that leans more toward SpawnPK's classic side.

Simply type ::welfare or ::welf to access the menu in-game!

When in the Edgeville or Pure Zone wilderness with this mode toggled, you'll receive an icon above your head indicating that the mode is active.

When you attempt to enter the wilderness via Edgeville or Pure Zone border, with restricted items you will receive an error prompt.

This prompt will provide you with a visual guide of the restricted items that you brought with you.

Additionally, in the ::welfare menu you can prompt this guide at any time (or just view the full white list)

Killing players in welfare mode will grant you +5 welfare points and killing bots will grant +1. 

When you access the ::welfare/::welf menu you can access a shop, which has two tabs

  • The first tab contains a general stock of items, that are mainly useful for players starting out & need essentials.
  • The second tab contains a limited weekly stock of treasures and currencies (as well as re-purchasing of beginner items for newbies)
  • The limited weekly stock is account based meaning other players do not take from your stock.

Weekly Bonus Overhaul

The weekly bonuses event has received an overhaul, which includes support for categories of tasks to complete.

As of this update, we've included new tasks for welfare mode and for pure zone

The original weekly tasks are still included, and are now under the "Global tasks" category

Additionally, we've included some other QoLs to the weekly bonuses system:

  • Mythic donator rank now provides a reward level boost of +4 (rather than +3) as shown in the picture above
  • You can now type ::weeklies or ::week to access the tasks directly, rather than having to navigate through the "Active events" menu.

 

Collection Log Additions

We've added some brand new collection logs that were not added before!

As per usual, these entries are not retroactive unless the item is autokeep/untradeable and could only be obtained from the log source. Entries that are retroactive will be specified under the list.

  • Bork
  • Vorkath
  • Vet'ion
  • Wicked vet'ion
  • Superior blood revenants
  • Mystical tekton
  • Blood tekton
  • Corporeal beast
  • Regular slayer store
  • Blood diamond store
    • Pet accessories are retroactively checked (enchanted pet accessory will count for all)
    • Ancestral dye is retroactively checked (dyed pieces in your bank, for example, will be considered as an entry)
       

In addition, we've made some other miscellaneous changes/improvements:

  • The enchantment chest collection log will now consider 1 of the 3 enchanted god capes for all three entries. 
    • This will also be retroactively checked for players on log-in after this update's release
  • Dragon-slayer gloves from the collection log reward shop now give +15% damage instead of +12.5% damage

 

Well of Goodwill Overhaul

The well of goodwill is hungrier than before, requiring more bags to fill it entirely.

In return, it now cycles a random buff between a variety of brand new server-wide boosts:

  • +10% drop rate bonus for 3 hours
  • 2X slayer & blood-slayer points for 3 hours
  • +25% chance for superior wilderness bosses for 3 hours
  • 2X chance for statuettes and artifacts for 3 hours
  • 2X hotspot points for 3 hours

To be more specific on contribution changes:

  • The well now requires 25K cash bags server-wide
  • Increased the cash bag contribution to x100 cash bags (10B)
  • Decreased points earned from 10 per contribution to 5
  • You now have the option to contribute a batch amount (5x, 10x, or 50x)

 

Patch Notes (List #1)

Below is our first list of gameplay changes, QoLs, and bug fixes. 

This first list was geared more toward the Community Driven aspect of this update

 

Gameplay changes & QoLs:

  • There is now a new settings option:  "Toggle pets for 'bank all'"
    • When enabled, the bank-all button (on minimap) will also make you pick up your pet and deposit it to your bank as well
       
  • There is now a new settings option: "Cosmetic 'icons' visibility"
    • When disabled, it will hide all those flashy icons / parrots / etc. players have equipped
       
  • Cosmetic items (icons, parrots, etc.) will now be deposited via the bank-all button
     
  • Added new hotkeys for quick access
    • You can now press CTRL+L to open your loot tracker
    • You can now press CTRL+C to open your collection logs
       
  • Mini-me pets are now noteable, and are spent as such in the enchantment chest
     
  • Reduced the respawn timer of abyssal sire from 15 seconds to 5 seconds
     
  • Vorkath teleport will now bring you to the spot right against the wall jump, rather than down by the boat
     
  • Slightly nerfed coins from grand crests
     
  • Nerfed coin rewards from mystery boxes/bags/chests
     
  • Paying for item repair fees via bank will now recognize & spend cash bags in the bank (not just coins)
     
  • Added glorious casket scroll, nex upgrade scroll, hotspot point & key scrolls, to ::scrolls
     
  • Added a right-click "Lock" option to the BH teleport spell
     
  • Warning dialogues for wilderness teleports will now include info on whether the spot is multi-combat
     
  • Added warning dialogue for wildernss cloak teleports (including multi-zone warnings, as mentioned above)
     
  • Malevolent cannon now requires 99 hitpoints to equip
     
  • In the "specific" PvM loot tracker, you can type "Revenants" to track ALL cave revenants
    • You can also type "Blood revenants" or "Blood revs" to track ALL blood revenants
       
  • Raids reward changes / improvements
    • Reduced the weight of raid items from all hotspot caskets
    • Improved the rate of raid items earned from CoX (actual raid items, such as tbow etc.)
    • Removed raid caskets from mystery boxes/bags/chests
    • Fixed grand luck falcon effect for raid rewards (it was not working properly)
       
  • Blood slayer cave improvements
    • Added new higher value rare / very rare drops to monsters in the cave
      • This includes mystery chests, prize keys, grand prize keys, blood chests, epic pet boxes
      • Drop rates and item types are dependant on the difficulty of the monster and how far they are within the cave
    • The cave now has an "essence bonus" that scales with killcount
      • This percentage can increase the amount of essence you receive
    • You can now pay cave essence from your looting bag when summoning the blood slayer beast boss
    • Using the blood slayer gem inside of the blood slayer cave will allow you to cancel your task (or pickup a new one)
       
  • Greater blood orbs now require 50+ player kills to purchase
     
  • Master blood orbs now require 100+ player kills to purchase
     
  • Increased the amount of bags dropped from players dying with orbs, to accomodate for the price hike in Risky Rick's store
     
  • Changes have been made to Nex
    • The drop rate bonus from the nex upgrade scroll is now visible on your equipment screen when you're within the cave
    • Nex's respawn timer is now 33% slower
    • Nex's HP has been increased from 4.5k to 7.5k
    • Nex's chance to drop mystery chests is lowered from 1/175 to 1/350
    • Nex's chance to drop prize keys is lowered from 1/250 to 1/350
       
  • The Blood-dragon minipet and King blood dragon mini-pet now have a chance for 2X BM not just in Edgeville, but also in Pure Zone and Deep Wild
     
  • Added new "King soul dragon mini-pet" to the enchantment chest
    • Costs: x5 King blood dragon mini-pets, x2 treasure beasts, x2 bounty beasts
    • Success chance: 100%
    • - 10% chance to receive a bonus T1 emblem from BH
    • - 10% chance to receive 2X pvp artifacts and treasures while PKing
    • - 25% chance to receive 2X blood money while PKing at edge, pure, or deep wild
       
  • Added a new item to the Wandering Merchant shop, the Grand looting bag
    • Requires a blood looting bag and 5K wandering tokens
    • If you do NOT have a Yoshi pet equipped or in your inventory, you'll receive....
    • +30% drop rate bonus in the wilderness
    • Chance to receive mboxes from both PvM & PvP kills (the deeper the wildy level, the higher the chance)
    • Very rare to receive mchests from both PvM & PvP kills (the deeper the wildy level, the higher the chance)
    • Loot will telegrab to the bag when the looting bag is opened (this also works in non-wilderness)
       
  • The following items are now available in EdgePvP
    • Zulrah helmets (tanz, magma, viper)
    • Korasi's sword
    • Torva armor
    • Blood thorn bush seeds
       
  • You can now use a spawnable cleaning cloth (Item ID 3188) on most dyed items to wipe the dye off
    • Certain (very few, but some) dyed items do NOT refund the dye on wipe.
    • Nonetheless, you are given a warning message when that's the case

 

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed bug with PvP grand treasures not registering into the collection log
     
  • Fixed issue with weapon stance memory when switching weapons. Selected weapon stances will now properly save on re-log, and will also be recognized correctly (stance selection will be remembered by weapon type as opposed to specific weapons)
     
  • Fixed issue with balance spirit pet regen times
     
  • Fixed bug with psycho mad hatter giving the same accuracy bonus as regular mad hatter
     
  • Fixed bug with CTRL+T and ::tpsitem not working at certain parts of ::mythic zone
     
  • Fixed the revenant cave pillars (agility shortcuts). You can now attack players across them with mage/range

  • Fixed issue where dropping a pet while jumping over rev cave obstacles would cancel the jump
     
  • Fixed noted dark totems not fully autokeeping on death
     
  • Fixed kill recognition bug (you could kill someone at pure and teleport to edgeville to receive hotspot points for pure / edge, for example)
     
  • Fixed / improved the gate jamming @ agility course
     
  • Fixed bug where the radiant dye made dragon claws (or) autokeep
     
  • Fixed bug where attacking Jungle Demon would not remove your Amnesty
     
  • Fixed bug where blood looting bag would be cancelled by yoshi in Mage Arena (where yoshi is pretty much disabled)
     
  • Fixed bug where clicking "nevermind" to pay the blood slayer cave limit reset would act as if you clicked "yes"
     
  • Fixed bug where loot tracker was tracking PvP loot within the Hunger Games minigame
     
  • All items that have a value of "0" are now auto-lost on death.
    • Items such as Prize Keys, Grand Prize keys, Infernal Stone, Malevolent Clamp, etc. have always intentionally had a death value of "0"
    • But in instances where a player has absolutely no other protected items (spawned loadouts, etc.) these items would still protect on death.
    • The aforementioned items are now a guaranteed loss, even if you're protecting nothing else on death

 

Loadout Systems Additions

Loadouts now includes support for mini-pets and cosmetic slot items (icons, parrots, etc.)

When cloning, the loadout will simply pickup on whichever mini-pet you have activated (or if you have none)

To make room for this, we've slightly re-designed the layout of the side panel. Equipment slots will now show the slot icon when no item is present, and we've also updated the item icons so that all items should be visible..

In addition, you can now set the text color of loadouts, as well as picking an icon of your choice.

This feature is available when re-naming existing loadouts, and also when creating a new one.

Patch Notes (List #2)

The patch notes below were things we had developed at random times throughout December / early January.

We went ahead and gathered some of the changes from this code branch that aren't too drastic, but still benefit the server:

  • Daily challenge changes
    • Removed rev-caves challenge
    • Deep wild challenge rewards changed from x750 BM to x1 Prize ticket
    • Deep wild challenge kill requirement lowered from 15 to 10
    • Mage bank challenge reward changed from medium casket & 1.5k magic tokens to x1 Prize ticket and 2.5k tokens
    • Blood revs challenge rewrad now gives x250 blood-rev ashes
    • Blood rev challenge kill req lowered from 35 to 20 
       
  • Kharazi changes
    • Dragon arrows and dark bow added to Jungle demon common table
    • Jungle demon dragon equipment table drop rate buffed from 1/16 to 1/4
    • Jungle demon common drops buffed
    • All jungle monsters drops buffed
    • Jungle horror HP & Def reduced by 33%
    • Blood shaman HP reduced from 125 to 50
    • Trading stick shop buffed
    • Jungle savage HP reduced from 42 to 32
    • Jungle spider HP reduced from 45 to 25
    • Kharazsi chests buffed
    • 3 new kharazi chest locations have been added
    • Jungle c'bow ranged attack bonus buffed from 95 to 135
    • Jungle demon daily reward changed ( gives treasure chest (u) and prize ticket (u) )
    • Doubled the BM earned from PKs in Kharazi
       
  • Hunger games revamp
    • Rank display has been added to lobby screen before the match
    • Added new powerups, and changed the visual (Gear, Weapon, Accuracy, Spec-restore)
    • Added new events:
      • Wolves: High damaging, reduces run energy
      • Chaos event: Spawns horkers, wolves AND swarms for 30 seconds
      • Damage perk event
      • Accuracy perk event
      • Golden demon event: Can only happen once per match, gives a Golden AGS on death, +5 HG points for killing
    • Made changes to the loot chests:
      • Added rewards from HG shop to the loot chest tables
      • Nex items added to the loot chest tables
      • Increased range ammo & possible variety (dtaxe, mjaves, etc.)
      • Rares & very rares from the loot chests are slightly rarer
      • Added a few othe rnew various items
    • The money-making daily now gives an HG point lamp (similar to LMS) instead of a hotspot scroll
    • Added a new HG game mode: Zerker style 
       
  • Added tasks to LMS
     
  • Added minigame boost scroll to Wander Merchant's shop
    • When activated, for 60 mins you'll experience:
      • Increased points at HG, LMS, Tournies
      • Drop rate bonus in Kharazi
         
  • New donator ticket shop items
    • Epic pet mystery chests for 22,500 tickets
    • Boost pack (5) added for 15,000 tickets
      • Opens for 5 of the following possible items:
        • Luck scroll
        • Super luck scroll
        • Blood discount scroll
        • Blood slayer scroll
        • Bloodlust scroll
        • Superior blood-rev scroll
        • Hotspot scroll
        • Epic point m-chests
           
  • Added the following to wandering merchant:
    • Blood-rev ashes to wanderer easy/med task lists
    • Nihil shards to wanderer medium list
    • Ancient godsword to wanderer elite list
    • Zaryte c'bow to wanderer elite list
       
  • Added slight aesthetic improvements for:
    • Achievement interface
    • Money-making teleports
    • Gambling screen
    • Hunger games (multiple menus)
    • New icons for the chat messages via yoshi grabbing and loot bag pickup
