[February 28th, 2019] Tons of new PvP content, QoLs, and fixes!

Content Updates:

  • PvP Rewards: Grand Treasures (EXCLUSIVE ITEMS!)
    • You can now unlock the "Grand treasure" blood perk and earn a chance to receive NEW exclusive items from killing players!
      • The new blood perk requires "Treasure hunter" to be unlocked and costs 300 blood money
    • These exclusive treasures are extremely rare, but there are ways to improve your odds:
      • Kill a player in Edgeville
      • Kill a player on a 25+ killstreak
      • Kill a bounty hunter target
    • These new exclusive treasures include:
      • Armadyl battlestaff
        • This staff has an autocast spell that will hurl a tornado at your foe!
        • Its special attack will drain the prayer and magic of your foe for 50% of the damage dealt
        • The staff's autocast spell has a minimum damage of 11!
      • Balmung
        • This treasure is a powerfule war-axe with a special attack that will "Enrage" your Balmung
        • When enraged, Balmung will swing a tick faster for 10 seconds!
      • Ancient crossbow
        • This powerful crossbow increases the chance of your bolt specials
        • The special attack will shoot 2 bolts at rapid fire, with a guaranteed bolt special
      • Dragon upgrade scroll
        • Activating this scroll will increase the special attack accuracy of all dragon weaponry by +15%!
      • Guardian boots
        • Great defensive boots, with a +5 strength bonus!
      • More treasures will appear in the future, so stay tuned!
  • Pure PK zone
    • By typing ::pure (or going to the PK/Money teleports) you can enter this brand new PKing zone, designated for pures!
    • The location is an isolated Grand Exchange, with the outer locations being wilderness (PvP)
      • You can only enter the wilderness within this zone if you have 25 defence or lower!
    • For every kill in this zone, you will receive:
      • +1 Pure PK point (see below)
      • +3 Blood money (in addition to the +3 pure bonus, making it +6 total)
      • +50% chance to receive blood diamonds from pure kills
    • Speak with the shopkeeper near the teleport location to access the Pure PK point shop!
      • Majority of the items are new and exclusive cosmetics, and a few include decent equipment bonuses!
      • Items that have been added to the grand opening of the pure zone include:
        • House hoods (autokeep + untradeable cosmetic hoods)
        • Pure team capes (melee/range/magic)
        • God books (g) (Slightly improved stats from the standard god books)
        • Gnome child tonic
        • Blood sabre
        • Black wizard robes (t)
        • White wizard robes (t)
        • Monk robes (g)
        • Zamorak robes (t)
        • Zamorak robes (g)
        • Golden chef's hat
        • Wooden shield (g)
        • Clown outfit
  • New bounty hunter store items
    • Blood mutagen
      • Costs: 100,000,000 bounties
      • Combine with a Serpentine helmet to create a Blood serpentine helmet
      • The Blood serpentine helmet gives stronger offensive bonuses, but weaker defensive bonuses
    • Bounty max cape
      • Costs: 50,000,000 bounties + bounty cape
      • Boosts drop rate 2x more than a normal Bounty cape!
    • Cursed skin token
      • Costs: 50,000,000 bounties
      • Unlocks the new cursed skin texture!
  • Added a new "Voting" daily money making activity

Gameplay changes:

  • Yoshi pet
    • The yoshi pet (and all fusions with its effect) must now be charged with blood money to work in the wilderness (safe zones don't require charge!)
      • The Enchanted yoshi pet is an exception for this, and does not require charge for wilderness loot
      • This new charging mechanic is relatively cheap, while simultaneously giving the wilderness a better element of reward from PKing
    • To charge your yoshi pet, simply use blood money on it
      • 4 blood money = 1 charge = 10 loot piles
      • Warning: The blood money within your yoshi will be lost on death!
    • Your yoshi pet charges are shared between ALL pets with the yoshi effect
    • You can click "Check-charges" on your yoshi pet item, or simply type ::yoshi to do a quick check!
  • Blood money drops (PvM)
    • Majority of bosses now have a "Wilderness only" mark on their blood money drops - signifying they now only drop BM in the wilderness
    • The bosses experiencing this change will now have a slightly increased blood money drop quantity
    • In order to supplement donator zones for this change, coin drops now have a +50% bonus in all donator zones
  • Added a bank and trading post to the VIP donator zone
  • Added a bank and trading post to the Sponsor donator zone
  • Pet notifications
    • You will now receive a chat box message when your Mystic dragon pet effect activates
    • You will now receive a chat box message when your Ancient guardian pet effect activates (if the opponent actually has soaking)
    • You will now receive a chat box message when your Skotizo pet effect activates
    • You will now receive a chat box message when your Ripper demon pet effect activates
  • Blood orb improvements
    • Lesser blood orbs give a 25% chance to receive an extra emblem tier from BH kills
    • Greater blood orbs give a 50% chance to receive an extra emblem tier from BH kills
    • Master and cursed blood orbs give a 100% chance to receive an extra emblem tier from BH kills
  • Added new ::ardy teleport command, which will take you to the alternate lever near mage bank
  • The PJ timer has been reduced for non-Edgeville wilderness
  • Ghrazi rapier accuracy has been improved
  • Crystal halberd special attack accuracy has been reduced
  • Bank placeholders will now open the right-click menu even when left clicking them (to prevent unintended "release")
  • Mythic dragon pet owners will now inflict full teleblock time when it bypasses their opponent's magic protection prayers
  • The freeze time for ice barrage has been changed to the proper 20 seconds (rather than 15)
  • You will now become unfrozen from freezing/binding spells if the player who froze you is 25+ tiles away from you
  • Improved rates on a few Kraken drops
  • Improved rates on a few Wildywyrm/Bloodwyrm drops
  • Improved rates on a few Crazy archaeologist drops
  • You are now only immune to the Skotizo pet effect for 30 seconds from the specific player who silenced you
    • As a result, other players with the skotizo pet can now pet silence you during this duration
  • Bats near mage bank now aggro again, and will no longer hit behind the wall at mage bank
  • Removed unarmed goliath glove stat reduction effect from World Tournaments
  • Special attacks that cost 25% or lower will now only have 5% cost removed compared to the previous 10%
  • Raised the protection value for Bryophyta's staff
  • Raised the protection value for imbued tomes
  • Added proper royal seed pod teleport graphics
  • Added proper elysian spirit shield effect graphics

Special attacks:

  • Dragon dagger special attack
    • Damage cap raised to 46-46 from 38-38
    • When wearing ferocious gloves, the cap is raised to 47-47
  • Dragon hunter lance special attack
    • Damage cap raised to 87
  • Magic shortbow special attack
    • Increased accuracy boost from +15% to +50%
  • Saradomin sword special attack
    • Increased the max hit of the non-blessed saradomin sword from 68 to 70
  • Saradomin godsword special attack
    • Increased the accuracy bonus from +15% to +50%
  • Zamorak godsword special attack
    • Increased the accuracy bonus from +0% to +20%

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed cursed obsidian not boosting obsidian weapons properly
  • Fixed cursed obsidian pieces and regular pieces not being able to be mixed together for the set effect
  • Fixed arrow collection (ava devices, etc.) functionality for special attacks (dragon knives, thrownaxes)
  • Fixed the hide/off option for the public chat channel
  • Fixed loot being stuck under monster spawning orbs in the mythic donator zone
  • Fixed skotizo pet effect activation when using special attacks
  • Fixed divine spirit shield's prayer drain effect (it was previously improper and too low)
  • Fixed an issue where players can run through a slashed web seconds after it respawns
  • Fixed poison dragon arrows with the Blood slayer bow
  • Fixed other rapier animations sharing the Ghrazi rapier animation
  • Fixed crown image tags being usable in the public chat

im sorry but why tf did u think it was good to add bm to a yoshi and not the enchated one if ur guna make yoshi usless make enchanted yoshi need bm as well not fucking fair.

I dont even care aboutt he other sht the yoshi is so dumb

Really great update.

Could i ask for berserker necklace give the 25% damage bonus to obsidian weapons (stackable with obsidian armour) as per OSRS please?

I'm not sure if Goliath Gloves are bugged or not, but from what I recall when your unarmed and using them, you had an invisible strength bonus roughly to a whip or slightly better when unarmed, not counting your gear to modify it further. Could that be fixed as well sometime? Thanks!

great update overall. 

Disagree with the serp update.

We literally have 5 helms already;

regular serp, magma, tanzanite, viper and dark. Now we have another one that isn't even best in slot.

Personally i would've liked;

Blood serpentine helmet is untradable; however the stats become that of a neitiznot helm. the helm still applies and protects from venom

This seemd like a good alternative. allows it to feel like you're actually getting something worth while without it being overpowered

thanks. Blood serp is awful atm. -1 strength from the magma

thats a 2.5b helmet vs a 100b++ helmet

I agree. Should either be BIS for attack bonus' or at the very least BIS for melee attack bonus.

Not sure how OP a spawnable necklace would be so maybe a purchasable alternative?

for me it just needs to be worth the 100mil bounties. thats 20 TIER 10S!!

in comparison, u can get 2 cursed relics worth 80b+ for that

my suggestions would be:

1. lower the stats to maybe +4 str and slightly less def BUT it becomes untradable (50m repair) while still giving venom protection and application

2. Make it best in slot for melee (not a big fan because that was somewhat the point of the magma, and now u even have the dark one.)

but if it does get made like this it should have highest str bonus even if its by +1 over the dark and have best accuraccy stats for melee.

3. Give it some special effects? Increase chance of stattues/blood money/diamonds etc from kills? Or maybe the poison effect from hydra (although unrelated)?

something to make it worth how insanely hard it is to get and what its worth.

other effect suggestions;

- when wearing this help theres a +50% chance you'll skip a tier upgrade (so from 1 to 3 or 8 to 10)

- increased stats/strength when using blood equipment with this helm

- special venom that starts at 10 instead of 6

- always doubles blood money drops

- increased chance of blood shards

- a 1/100 ish chance to gain a random item from the blood diamond store while using this helm during pking

- increased drop rate chances

- increased treasure chests (the new ones)

- damage soak effect

- new custom bleed effect

 

obviously not all of them at once, but perhaps 1 or multiple of these instead.

All with all not worth buying as it currently is

I get where you're coming from, but this is essentially only a 'bug fix' rather than an update, so that it operates as per OSRS. This would still be nowhere near as accurate as a whip or a chaotic rapier, for example, and would just give pures a greater variety of weapons. It should be no good for main pking since the b neck has a huge negative attack bonus.

Would be hesitant to make a berserker necklace (i) in fear of power creep to be honest, as it would likely have OP stats.
