Note from the Developers
Here's a quick patch to hold things over until our Nex (new global wilderness boss) release!

 

Client Improvements

We've made efforts to reduce lag spikes/build-up on the SPK client, as well as some other issues that may have been causing problems for players.

FPS lag (and even split second FPS drops) has been confirmed to be the main culprit for "dead clicks" as well, so we're hoping these changes also reduce cases of them as well.

Optimizations

  • Optimized the particle system
    • Players with particles enabled should now experience far less of a performance loss from it
       
  • Optimized model loading, providing an overall performance boost on both client modes (Lite & Regular)
     
  • Added "still idles" to other players (and certain humanoid NPCs) when in populated non-wilderness areas, which should slightly improve performance
     
  • Identified and fixed a bug with the "Extended zoom & distance" setting, which would cause the client to load models that are still far off the screen.
    • For example, "zooming in" closer to your player should now actually improve lag in populated areas when using "Extended zoom & distance" whereas before it did not make a difference

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug with the file storage for our loadout system, which could cause a failure to launch the client until data folders are deleted/reset (thus losing saved loadouts on that file system)

     

Blood Slayer Improvements
 

Blood Slayer Cave

  • Changed most non-stackable drops from cave monsters to noted form
     
  • You now receive +1% drop rate every 3 kills in the cave, with a +25% DR cap
    • (Instead of +1% every 5 kills w/ +10% cap)
       
  • There is now a +25% Larran's key drop chance from task kills within the cave
     
  • Buffed the cave essence drop amounts
    • The deeper the cave monster, the better the drop quantity boost
       
  • Buffed the BM drop amounts
    • Just like essence, if the monster type is spawned deeper in the cave, the more of a buff in BM drops it received
       
  • Fixed the BH overlay not appearing after exiting the Blood Slayer Cave
     
  • Fixed a bug where you could bypass the magic sickness inflicted by the cave

 

General

  • Added a streak bonus for Blood slayer tasks
    • This DOES NOT stack with other multipliers (PoH, crystals, Well of Goodwill)
    • You can follow which task number you're on by asking the Blood Slayer Master "what's my blood slayer rank?"
    • The streak bonus rates are as follows:
      • Every 10th task = 5X blood slayer points
      • Every 50th task = 15X blood slayer points
      • Every 100th task = 25X blood slayer points

         
  • Added an option to permanently block Boss Hunter and Monster Hunter tasks
    • Permanently blocking a task costs 1,000 blood slayer points
    • You can only have 5 tasks blocked at once (there is an option to remove perma-blocks)

       
  • Added a right-click "Quick-task" QOL option to the Blood Slayer Master
    • If you do not have a task, it will shortcut to the blood slayer task selection menu
    • If you have a task, it will shortcut to the task cancelling menu
       
  • Superior bosses now count as kills for boss blood slayer tasks of their standard form
     
  • If you have Nightmare or Hunllef unlocked, they are now potential Blood Slayer Boss Hunter tasks (superiors included)

 

Other Improvements & Fixes

  • Added a PvM max hit dummy at home (it is recolored black & blue) to display max hits without PvP caps (and PvM damage bonuses)
     
  • Dark toxic blowpipe now grants +25 ranged strength in PvM only, allowing it to out-hit the swift bow (that is 1/4 the price of dark blowpipe) in PvM combat
     
  • You now have a +25% chance to receive a Grand crest piece 2 from Edgeville PKs when you are risking a Cursed blood orb
     
  • Added a right-click "Convert" option to 10M cash bags, allowing conversion to 100M bags
     
  • Lowered the wait time for HG and LMS lobbies (when there is enough players) from 60 seconds to 10 seconds
     
  • Added the proper attack animation to Leaf-bladed battleaxe
     
  • Fixed a bug where Pure Zone counted as kills for the Deep Wild hotspot
     
  • Fixed a bug where Blood slayer beast's +10% equipment bonus boost did not work on the new Blood slayer tentacle
     
  • Fixed a bug that caused a spam of "You don't have enough inventory space" when yoshi pet is autocollecting into the looting bag with a full inventory
     
  • Fixed a bug with inventory items when trading after depositing items in the bloodcore synthesis pool
     
  • Fixed a bug where items would disappear after X-logging or DCing while having items inside the bloodcore synthesis pool
     
  • Added a 50 player killcount requirement for hotspot skip voting (effort to help reduce the skip botting issue)
     
  • Imbued rings, Primordial boots, Pegasian boots, and Eternal boots are now available for purchase in noted form at the Blood Money Miscellaneous Store
     
  • Goliath gloves and swift gloves are now available for purchase in the form of tokens at the Blood Money Miscellaneous Store (stackable form for bulk purchase)
     
  • Added ::stacks command for new youtuber BigStacks!
     
  • Added the following items to the bloodcore token synthesis pool
    • Calamitous ring = 5K tokens
    • Dark brimstone ring = 25K tokens
    • Infernal stone = 35K tokens
    • Cursed vesta longsword = 15K tokens
    • Cursed statius warhammer = 15K tokens
    • Bow of faerdhinen (i) = 90K tokens
    • Malevolent weapons = 75K tokens
