Smoking Gas 0 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) Theatre of Blood Guide By: Free Amex Before beginning, it is important to note that 50 Chamber of Xeric completions is required to start normal Theatre of Blood. For rare drops, the largest sample ever done was by metal raimon. According to this sample, masters are around 1/17 for a raid item, while grandmasters is 1/10 with a 1/4 chance for a common rare such as an epic pet box Gear (Best in slot) Pets: Maiden, Bloat, Mystical Tekton, Xarpus, Verzik, Spec Pet It is worth mentioning that 'Vigorous Hydra' is BiS for Verzik phase 1. It should be noted that Nylo is a room in which minions must be killed for the boss to spawn. Verzik has three phases, which will be explained below. Maiden Before entering the first room, make sure of the following: MAGE PRAY PIETY This boss should be attacked with the melee style. Occasionally, the boss will throw blood at all players in the raid, forcing you to move (even if it's one tile.) When the boss reaches 70, 50, and 30%, spiders that heal Maiden will spawn. These can be ignored, however, should be frozen and killed to save time. SOLO/DUO: Freeze 70, 50, and 30 spiders, killing all waves. TRIO+: Freeze and kill 70 and 50 spiders, freeze 30 wave once and dps Maiden to kill. Bloat For beginners, bloat can be considered one of the harder bosses to kill simply due to the mechanics. At all times, you want to be behind the boss. To deal more damage and kill the boss faster, you will need to flinch. Eventually, the boss will SIT. Nylo For this boss, you will need a combination of melee, range, and mage. Attack green spiders with range, blue spiders with mage, and gray spiders with melee. The same mechanics apply for the actual boss that spawns after 50 spider kills : ) Xarpus For beginners, xarpus is considered the hardest boss to learn in terms of mechanics. The best style to use is melee, with range being the next best. With a scythe, you must move after you hit xarpus. With a 4 tick weapon such as a ghrazi blood rapier, you are able to hit the boss two times every off hit. For example, hit the boss, move, hit the boss twice, move, rinse and repeat. The best combination to use in this room is blood reaper scythe with dragon hunter lance as your special weapon (with special pet.) The boss will switch to mage, which will be indicated with 'Magica Transitum!' After killing this boss and you pass the northern barrier, be sure to get a dawnbringer from the skeleton. Verzik - MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON EXTENDED ZOOM Verzik is the last boss in ToB and has three phases. Before attacking the boss, make sure that you are positioned in the middle of the most north-western pillar. For the first phase, you will need to use a dawnbringer on 'rapid.' The boss will damage the pillars in front of you, and when the pillar is one hit from being destroyed, you will need to move south to the next pillar. If you are on the last pillar on the western side, then you will need to cross. I recommend that you wait until the pillar is one hit, and then watching the animation of the boss. The animation of the boss moving means that the shot has been fired. Run to the most eastern pillar beside you when you see this animation. The next phase can be compared to Vasa in CoX, with crabs involved. It is very simple when mastered. The final phase can be tricky at first. If the boss has aggro on you, you will need to pray flick. The first hit will be melee, and then the next tick will be range/melee. Use these words for reference: 'Arti' (range) and 'Magica' (mage) Done! Kellatha 629 Posted October 10, 2020 Some mistakes you made in this guide that i'll point out so you can fix. @Smoking Gas Melee Section: 1. Lava helm does not trump full cb with helm, full cb helm has +67.5% damage and accuracy whereas lava with cb top and bot gives 57.5% and no accuracy bonus 2. Ferocious gloves may be BiS but enchanted gloves(specifically spellcaster sap effect) trumps the extra few max hits from ferocious as you sap enemy stats (including defence) which results in faster kills. 3. DHL with spec pet is not optimal and neither is DWH. You just drop the spec pet to quickly regain 10% spec and drop out another people, that's something you might want to add to that section. Also DWH is heavily inaccurate and not cost efficient for spec cost since swh hits a little worse but costs 25% spec instead of the 35% spec of DWH. The goal is to reduce enemy defense as much as possible and all DWH/SWH need to do is hit atleast a 1 to reduce defense. DuS scroll should be irrelevant as SWH is superior. Range Section: 4. Heavily doubting swift gloves trumps frosty tbow, otherwise swift bows would be 2t+ above frosty, even if it was just in raids there would be a sharp increase in price and resulting in heavy lms traffic 5. While using frosty a person shouldn't use swift gloves as it steals DPS. When swift glove procs it replaces the frosty arrow shot. Frosty arrow= 40-50s but swift glove proc has a hard time hitting something that isn't 0 Mage Section: 6. Not sure why you are even including CB here, like what do you plan to do hit very hard one spell out of 50? Welcome to splashcape. 7. For auto cast the best staff would be cursed ancient staff. It used to be skotizo sceptre but it got ghost nerfed and had its +20% magic damage removed. CaS being +25% damage and +10% accuracy which also stacks with siren's +33% damage to blood spells. 8. Assuming you are autocasting the best offhand would be ToFrost(i) and not jungle lantern. + The rates for ToF(i) were never released, but easy to assume it's double normal tome of frosts(+20% damage and accuracy with ice spells) which trumps jungle lanterns +5% damage bonus and no accuracy. Siren tome is also notable offhand which should follow suite after ToF(i) 9. Can't forget about torm(or) being BiS for mage gloves. We can really argue about e gloves being more efficient via its defense sap but when you have a full team with all e gloves this would boost your DPS over them. Only thing I would add to this if running DHL then best to either have EGloves or k3 gloves, otherwise dhl is useless
