  4. OK well I think to begin with, it's fair to say that the reason why the Dinh's/Tbow/Emaul items have been dropping is very simple. Why would you allow any player with a high enough donor status be allowed to farm them (possibly at x2 rates) at a SAFE Tekton?! It baffles my mind that this has been allowed for so long. If there is an influx of items in the game, and these items can be AFK farmed, then of course they will drop in price drastically. As Bowflexxx said, the demonic gorrilla drops (and I imagine the same goes for all the other non-safe and non-AFK boss drops) have retained their value. Why not simply stop the farming of all these OP items? You need to replace these monster spawners with another benefit for donors. A few other people have linked to other reasons that the eco is becoming flooded (and it's not just the reason I'm talking about, of course). If the TP was replaced with the GE as per OSRS, there may be some benefits. Unfortunately though, I don't think SPK has a large enough playerbase to get a GE working properly. Removing the TP entirely won't fix this problem either - you will just have yell spam and people undercutting loudly.

    Honestly a -1 from me. That's an awful lot of stuff for one achievement and I think that's a bit OP.

    Totally totally, I just want the problem fixed too. Zbow to Melee is way too overpowered. Much prefer people get cool veng combos or anything else.

    Bsouth Helper application

    I'd vouch for Bsouth as Helper - I think he'd be pretty good. Always helping new players and guiding them towards useful resources, rather than just giving handouts. Perhaps could be more active on forums, but then that's not for me to decide. Overall, it's a +1 from me

    Ranging in melee armour needs to be fixed

    Can D Lance hit 90? I thought it was capped to 87? I get what you're saying too, I just disagree a bit. If you add a negative range strength bonus on armour pieces then you wouldn't be able to rock (for example) torags legs, dhide body, and nezzy helm for a typical range set up (it'd be unfair to make every ranger forced into low-defence range gear only, I think). What do you think?

    I think reducing the ranged strength when wearing melee armours would be too unlike OSRS. However I definitely think there should be a heavy penalty in range accuracy. This would stop back to back 40s with zbow (which is insane if the player is wearing torva)
  11. I get where you're coming from, but this is essentially only a 'bug fix' rather than an update, so that it operates as per OSRS. This would still be nowhere near as accurate as a whip or a chaotic rapier, for example, and would just give pures a greater variety of weapons. It should be no good for main pking since the b neck has a huge negative attack bonus. Would be hesitant to make a berserker necklace (i) in fear of power creep to be honest, as it would likely have OP stats.

  14. Hi guys, I'm going to make a list of a few suggestions (lots of ones I've made before) but compiled into a nice list for everyone to view. These are almost all PvP based, and I'm only going to list the least contentious ones to make this list as appealing to all players as possible. Please add comments below about what else you'd like to see added and I'll happily add to this list if I think they are non contentious. 1: Give the obsidian melee weapons (mace, sword, knife, maul) a 20% damage bonus when used in conjunction with the berserker necklace. This bonus only works with the maul at the moment. This can stack with the obsidian armour bonus, discussed later. (As per: https://oldschoolrunescape.fandom.com/wiki/Berserker_necklace). This will help give a greater variety to both pure and main pking. 2: Ensure obsidian armour (and cursed/mythic variants) give the 10% damage and 10% accuracy boost to all obsidian weapons, stackable with the berserker necklace damage bonus. (As per: https://oldschoolrunescape.fandom.com/wiki/Obsidian_armour). This will give greater variety to main and pure pking. 3: Introduce more dragon swords and dragon hastas into the game, perhaps by increasing the drop rates of both items. Make them cheap(ish) as per OSRS! This would be great to give a couple more spec weapons available for guys in spawnables and more affluent pkers alike. Ideally, I'd like to see them on the same level as DDS and Dmace special attacks and to be a cheap, throwaway sort of special attack. I'm all about variety and it seems like both of these weapons are dead content as they are both not as strong as the likes of an AGS, and a lot more expensive. 4: Get rid of the DDS spec cap. Why can DDS hit 46-46 in OSRS in max and is limited to (I think) 37-37 in SPK, despite the betters prayers and strength bonus available in SPK? It would make the DDS a viable PKing weapon and would make guys in spawnables a bit more lethal and might prevent them being annihilated by pkers in vesta. 5: Can we get a zamorakian hasta in game? Perhaps a NPC that enables you to change your Zammy Spear to a hasta for, say, 500m? Alternatively, just a new entry to the coin/blood money shop. 6: Can we get leaf bladed sword and battleaxe in game please? Either as spawnable (since they're not even as OP as any other spawnable weapon) or as an inexpensive purchase from the coin/blood money shop. I think this is a nice starting point - I welcome any improvements or additions. @Kellatha @Ryan @Ramzi @Phenomenon I'd really value your opinions. Thanks for taking your time to read this. Jimm0
  15. Thanks for your response @Phenomenon. I'm all for variety of weapons and get bored of the 'new' meta of bow to maul quickly. Anyone who stacks me out with a hunters crossbow to gmaul to dds combo is a legend in my books! Could you please forward these suggestions to @Ryan if you haven't already? Cheers

    Suggestions about Pure PKing

    But pure pking is already more attractive from a economical point of view - there's an achievement with huge rewards to unlock and there are additional chances of getting blood diamonds when pure pking. It's less active simply because more people seem to want to main pk, i think

    Your luckiest moments on SpawnPK

    Nice idea! I'd definitely say my luckiest moment would have to be within my first 100 kills on SPK I got a Grand Chest Piece 2 - particularly useful when I was struggling in spawnable gear! However, my least lucky moment was definitely when I went to sell this GC Piece 2 for 180 coins, rather than 180 bags, in the TP... I've not made the same mistake again!!

    +1, particularly with the use of other obsidian weapons. I want to use more weird stuff to pk with! I even made a topic on this not too long ago. Give me a the damage boost with full obby+berserker necklace+obby sword please!

    Cool, thanks for your reply. Changing home: this sounds like you just want another version of ::edgepvp. I don’t think we need another - why not just pk there if you don’t like people using customs? Having a GE would be a great thing to have and will make trading easier. Unfortunately this is quite a challenge and a big add, but hopefully it will be implemented in the future. The reading post is a great start though. I fail to see how this can alleviate anyone buying out an item though - if anything it would make it easier. About prodding: If there are better pking set ups that cost more money you can bet that those rich enough to use it will do. Thankfully, people using op gear are risking more than spawanbles, so it gives new players an incentive to fight them (even more so now with the orbs that have just been released). Just because you think something will work doesn’t mean it will. Any rebuttal I give is only to improve your suggestions, because I’d like the issues in this server to be ironed out too.

    @krazyk03r, some points to clarify: - How will changing the ::home location mean there are any fewer prods in the wilderness? - Donations are obviously here to stay since this is how the server makes money. How do you suggest a player who donates should be rewarded instead? This game isn't necessarily pay to win, since you can play in game to get to those high-tier donator statuses, but nobody would do so if they're not sufficiently rewarded. - Having more monsters dropping high tier items would make the economy worse (those items obtained from the monsters would decrease in value as there would be more supply). Why do you think this is a good idea for boosting the economy? The main problem I have with your point of view is that you want the economy to be fixed by making it easier for all player to get high tier items. That's not the best idea because then we'll end up with EVERYONE pking with those high tier items - i.e. prodding. I thought that's another thing you hated and want to prevent?! I agree with you intention - you want newer players to have an easier time to avoid 'prodders'/'veterans'/'donators' from dominating the economy/pk scene. Fine. However, I don't think any of your suggestions are actually the best for achieving this goal. Thanks, J

    Obsidian Weapons

    I've suggested before, and think it'd be really nice to add into the game particularly for pure pking to add some variety. Currently only the obby maul has the berserker necklace damage bonus of 20%. It would be great to implement this for obby mace, staff, sword, dagger, and rings. Is there anything preventing this from being added in the next update? It shouldn't be too hard to implement as the berserker necklace already works perfectly for obby maul. Cheers, Jimm0
