Client bug

Recommended Posts

I doubt anyone knows how to help me with this because someone else had this same issue on forums and received no response over 3 months, but worth a shot.

I can log in to the server fine. The client opens fine and everything works great until I close the client. Once I close the client for the first time, I can no longer open it back up without deleting and reinstalling the cache, or restarting my computer.
I've been playing for 2 weeks and this has never been a problem before yesterday. I deleted a bunch of rsps cache from my PC, including the spawnpk one. After downloading it again, I started having this issue. It led me to believe I accidentally deleted something important from my computer, but every other game or server I play works as intended, so that can't be it.
I already tried every troubleshooting option on the client and on the forums to fix it, and so far nothing has worked. Restarting the cache works once, then the issue persists after that initial attempt. I've removed and reinstalled java which didn't work either. I tried everything on the forums post for fixing client issues, still no luck.

EDIT: When I open the client. The launcher opens which shows recent updates and a 'play now' button. When this launcher is open, my task manager shows a Java(TM) Platform SE Binary app open. When I click 'play now' to open the actual client, the JAVA(TM) Platform SE Binary on my task manager stays open, but moves from apps to background processes, and the client just does not open.

FIXED: It fixed itself, I didn't even do anything it just works now lol

Thats normally how the bugs work, something Ryan does, effects the client, and then the next update fixes it. Sometimes you just gotta wait xD

Steps to fix (until Ryan patches it):

1. Go to the following folder (On windows, not sure the exact path for Mac):

C:\Users\yourusername\.spawnpk-data\loadouts\

2. Delete the order.settings file

3. Start the client, it should load once

4. Log into the server and create a loadout, doesn't matter what's in it

5. Try closing and re-launching your client, it should now work every time
