Community Raid Suggestions

  • The following is an exhaustive list from conversations in the SPK Raids Fam discord community, 'raids fam' in-game cc, The official SPK discord #suggestions channel, and the #finished-sugguestions channel.

Specific item effects & stats are in development. PLEASE post interesting effect ideas 🙂

Rewards

  • Holy & Sanguine ornament kit

These kits would be obtained through grandmaster challenge mode raids or a new 1,000 kc+ mode. Use the holy ornament kit on a regular Sanguinesti staff, scythe of vitur, or ghrazi rapier.

-  Holy sanguinesti staff should NOT have an autocast attack, meaning you would have to use regular spells or ancients spells with it.

Instead of a healing effect, it would have the chance to smite your opponents prayer points while giving the smited prayer points back to you, thus making this a solid PvP alternative to all the autocast staffs out there.

- The Holy Scythe of Vitur would be created by using a  Holy ornament kit on a regular Scythe of Vitur. 

- The Sanguine Scythe of Vitur would be created by using a Sanguine ornament kit on a regular Scythe of Vitur.

- The Holy Ghrazi Rapier would be created by using a Holy ornament kit on a regular Ghrazi rapier.

Holy variant weapons deal +10% damage against undead, demons, and dragons.

The Sanguine scythe of vitur deals +10% damage in raids. This scythe is a tier between normal scythe and blood reaper scythe in damage per second.

  • Blood Briolette & Dark Xerician Pendant

Dark Xerician Pendant

Option A Cost:

- x1 Bloodmancer pendant
- x1 Xerician pendant
- x1 Dark xerician ornament (NEW item from Theatre of Blood!)

Same stats as bloodmancer pendant and xerician pendant combined. Additionally, it has a 1/6 chance to heal you for % of damage dealt (similar to blood fury (or), mainly for PVM e.g. raids so less switches) + tradeable but NOT autokeep. Upgrade available at the repair dwarf for 100B cash.

OR 

Option B Cost:

- x5 Xerician pendant
- x1 Blood Briolette (NEW item from Theatre of Blood!)
- x10 Bloodchanting stones

An autokeep and tradable variant of the xerician pendant to promote wilderness PvM and sink the xerician pendant. Additionally, it has a 1/6 chance to heal you for % of damage dealt (similar to blood fury (or). 45% enchant rate in the enchantment chest. NOTE: If option B is preferred, the blood briolette should be same rate as ghrazi blood hilt and sanguinesti enchantment orb. If option A, the ornament kit should be 10x as rare as other ultra-rares.

- A player can alternatively fuse a blood briolette by spending 25,000 blood shards in the enchantment chest. (Approximately 1.5 trillion)

- Breaking a blood shard will grant a player 25,000 blood shards. This will assure a minimum price and prevent market saturation.

  • Dawnbringer (i)

I'd like to suggest the dawnbringer (i) again. This dawnbringer variant will help solo raiders at phase 1 verzik. The dawnbringer (i) enchant, will deal double the damage on Verzik phase 1, meaning only two pillars are necessary for a solo.

- With this dawnbringer you will be able to complete the pillar phase of verzik without crossing the room and risking instant-death, which can be very discouraging at the end of a solo raid.

- Double damage at verzik

- 5% enchant success | 5 dawnbringers & 50 blood diamonds per attempt
 

 

  • Xerician Dye or Ornament kits

Attaches to scythe of vitur, twisted bow, kodai wand, elder maul, and avernic defender hilt

  • Fused scythe / blood scythe / charmed scythe / shadow scythe 
  • Fused twisted bow / Blood twisted bow / charmed twisted bow / shadow twisted bow
  • Fused kodai wand / blood kodai wand / charmed kodai wand / shadow kodai wand

- +5% damage increase* & cosmetic variant (example graphics above are supplementary and not what the weapons would look like)

- When attached to a scythe, twisted bow, or kodai wand, the transformation is irreversible and weapon becomes untradeable. The weapon is lost on death and does not appear for the pker.

- This feature is in response to a constant request from raiders to have an account gamble ban. Alternative to losing all valuable raid gear and becoming unable to raid.

- When attached to an elder maul, the kit is autokept on death and provides a slight stat boost. kitted avernic defenders provide +5% damage and are reversible. 

- Acquired through challenge mode raids and are extremely rare.

- Acquired through limited time raid events (similar to kharazi or mage arena event)

 

*If these are seen as too over powered by the community, the +5% damage boost can be removed.

Xeric's guard / Sihaza shroud tier 1:

  • Requirements: At least 1 Cox Kc - At least 1 ToB Kc
  • Effect: None - Purely cosmetic

 

Xeric's warrior / Sinhaza shroud tier 2:

  • Requirements: At least 10 Cox Kc - At least 10 ToB Kc
  • Effect: None - Purely cosmetic

 

Xeric's Sentinal / Sinhaza shroud tier 3:

  • Requirements: At least 50 Cox Kc - At least 50 ToB Kc
  • Effect: 5% Damage Increase inside their respective raids type
  • Stats: If Comp 2 cape is unlocked it will mimic its effects and stats - otherwise TokHaar kal cape stats.

 

Xeric's general / Sinhaza shroud tier 4:

  • Requirements: At least 150 Cox Kc - At least 150 ToB Kc
  • Effect: 5% Damage Increase inside their respective raids type - 2.5% raids chest rare reward increase
  • Stats: If Comp 2 cape is unlocked it will mimic its effects and stats - otherwise TokHaar kal cape stats.

 

Xeric's champion / Sinhaza shroud tier 5:

  • Requirements: Atleast 500 Cox Kc - Atleast 500 ToB Kc
  • Effect: 7.5% Damage Increase inside their respective raids type - 5% raids chest rare reward increase
  • Stats: Ability to use any cape to copy its effects/stats over to the cape (similar to slaughter cape)

 

  • Common loot drop table revamp

     Rework on common loot to reflect the modern economy:

  1. Add wandering merchant items to Expert+ raid modes.
  2. Add grand crests to common loot drop table.
  3. Add superior revenant scrolls to common loot drop table.
  4. Add primal mystery chest to common loot drop table.
  5. Add Cursed mystery crates to common loot drop table.
     

Misc.

- Add lunar hide coif to 1,000+ kc raid mode

- Bone crusher / essence crusher

- Add frosty branch and blood reaper hilt as 1/10,000 drop rates to all game modes. Frosty branch in Chambers, and reaper hilt in Theatre of blood.

 

Pets

   Add Mutadile pet

- Overhead protection prayers have a 33% chance to block any damage type

- +25% damage in mutadile lair

 

   Add Vanguard pet

- Hits have a 1/5 chance to deal damage of a random damage type.

- +25% damage in vanguard lair.

Potential raid pet fuses: (Verzik + Vasa), (Bloat + Tekton), maybe something similar to Ultimate olm for ToB pets

 

Mechanics

  • Add Killcount to loot tracker for Chambers of Xeric on yell (52 kc)
  • Loot tracker log in achievement interfaces for cumulative loot tracking by difficulty.
  • Implement autocast remembering (at least outside of the Wilderness)

"My reasoning is because it would make it more beginner-friendly for Raids or other PvM activities where Magic is used often. It would also change the meta from autocast staves to add more variety to the game in terms of magic, rather than, for example, Sanguinesti/Trident only at Theatre of Blood" - Iron Horse

  • Any items dropped in raids should require a warning dialogue (excludes pet dropping)
  • Fix Crestbearer damage boost (currently broken)
  • Fix pathing & dead clicks
  • Remove the message prompt when you enter the next room or barrier
  • Fix bug in nylocas room. Damage from smaller nylocas can continue to hit you and kill you after the boss has spawned
  • Disconnecting in raids makes you go to the start of the raid and not to home (Theatre of Blood) just incase it does happen.
  • Add purple chest glow when you get a rare
  • Fix the ToB raid menu description to be accurate at librarian
  • Currently when you die in cox, you have to go through about 100 doors before you get back.

 

Updates

  • Include raid achievements in an all new Completionist 4 cape
  • Raid token shop / raid points
  • Biannual raids event similar to the mage arena or kharazi event with exclusives like dye or ornament kits
  • Theatre of blood & Chambers of Xeric hotspot
  • Raid leaderboard that displays:

 - 5 Players with highest kc for both CoX/ToB
 - 5 fastest solo raid times for each difficulty
 - 5 fastest group raid times for each difficulty

  • Add difficulty mode to yell announcements. Ex.) Metal Raimon received a mystery chest (240 KC - M) m = master raid. n=normal a=adept e=expert m= master g=grandmaster

Upgrades

  • Introduce challenge modes
  • A challenge mode can include time-limited raids, further damage reduction boons, or restricted items like in EdgePvP. A completed run adds an extra slot to the chest reward table, and gives the chance to receive Xerician Dye or Ornament kits. Alternatively, they could increase damage dealt on subsequent raids or within a window of time. 
  • Some sort of House/Construction item that boosts Raids (Drop Rate, Damage, etc) for a period of time like boss portals/blood slayer. Or even a 2x raids kc thing like blood slay so it's easier for people to unlock GM ToB
  • Scale difficulty harsher by party size

Such great ideas overall! Some ideas might need a bit of tweaking to fit the economy, but raids definitely need new content and change.

Scale solo raids so they don't take forever to do. Even a normal ToB solo probably takes 25 mins to do and the loot is nothing to brag about. Either make the scaling much better or up the loot (common and unique) better when solo'ing. 

Decrease daily expert+ challenge requirement for people who solo. 10 expert+ solo take forever to do and are much less profitable than blood slayer, events, etc.

We really do need a flex item to reflect your current raids count, I love it.

 

I'm adding comment suggestions to the main post as they come in. The one change I made to your suggestion was with the Xeric's general / Sinhaza shroud tier 4 cape. I don't believe that doing 150 chambers of xeric raids should let people have the same quality of cape that one would get with 5,000+ player kills. That takes much longer, and should be reserved as a pvp cape for those who have put in a more serious grind.

Absolutely fantastic suggestion.

 

However, there needs to be some careful thought put into how this will affect the economy.

Perhaps the raiding community is not large enough for this to create enough inflation, but still nonetheless worth considering it's impact.
