Server Suggestion List (Mine & Other Players)

While I'm not very active in the community/forums side of the server, I've been here for 3+ years and I think I have a pretty good viewpoint on what needs fixed/implemented on the server. These is just a compilation of my suggestions and suggestions I've seen others give that I like (gave credit). As I mostly PK and gamble/stake, most of these will focus on those aspects of the game. I do have plenty of opinions about PVMing too that I will try and include. Hopefully we see some change come from these. :) I would also love to hear your opinions down below. Thanks !

 

1) Killstreak Bounty

          - The maximum bounty received from ending a high kill-streak is 100m cash. As we all know, 100m is not very much at all on this server. I would love to see the bounty raised for higher  kill-streaks to give an incentive to hunt down and kill these players. I recommend that the bounty starts at 2.5b cash at a 25 killstreak, increasing by 2.5b every 5 kills.

               > Ex.: 25 kill-streak = 2.5b, 30 kill-streak = 5b, 35 kill-streak = 7.5b, etc.

          - With this, the kill-streak announcement should also announce every 5 kills starting at a 25 kill-streak. This will provide some cover for the kill-streak holder. So people could still be aware of the kill-streak holder w/o being annoyed by constant announcements, you could implement a "Bounty Poster" on a wall at Edgeville somewhere. This will show the players holding bounties in order from highest to lowest bounty. I think this will bring a breath of fresh air into our currently stale bounty system.

 

2) Bounty Hunter

          - The bounty hunter system is currently very unrewarding unless it is currently a hotspot. I would consider adding a 1/20 chance when killing a target to get a mystery crate to add some potential profit earned besides the pk and the emblems. 

          - Add a delay on skipping a target. It is very frustrating to teleport to your target w/ a bounty teleport just to finish the animation and have them already have skipped you. I'm not saying any crazy delay, just a solid 3-5 seconds. 

 

3) Bounty Store

          - Continuing off of #2, I think the bounty store could use some help. Some things inside of it are dead content and should be moved elsewhere or have prices adjusted, while I have some suggestions to add to the store itself. My BIGGEST issue with the bounty store is that the prices in the store don't often reflect the actual market value of the items. These changes could help bring life back into the "PK" side of SPAWNPK.

               > Remove/Move or Price Change 

                    ~ Blood Money - Blood Money is currently 75,000 Bounty Points. One tier 10 emblem = 66 blood money. Lower the price of blood money please. My suggestion would be to make blood money 5,000 points each. This would make (currently) one tier 10 equal around 15b in blood money. 

                    ~ Odium/Malediction Wards - Useless. Leave them to vetion drop table.

                    ~ Staff of Light(s) / Balance - These became dead content after the first day of release. Add to Mage Arena rare drop tables as an incentive to participate in Mage Arena minigame. 

                    ~ Dagon'Hai - Yet another zuriel cosmetic variant... I like the variety that these bring but move them somewhere else. We want to see profit in bounty hunter, not leeched re-skins. I recommend adding it to chaos elemental drop table and make slightly better than zuriels to bring life into the set. (Could make wilderness only drop.)

                    ~ Amulet of Ranging - Move to undead pker drop table as rare drop table 

                    ~ Skin Tokens - While fun, I would like to see something done w/ them... I'm not sure what, but just something. Seems out of place in the bounty store. 

                    ~ Obsidian Gear - Lower the price. Price of obsidian doesn't reflect the current market price. Drop the price down or remove it from mbox/mbag/mchest tables. 

                    ~ Blessed Saradomin Sword - Buff and raise price. After its nerf some-odd two years ago, it's become dead content. Bork pet has made it slightly relevant again, but it went from being one of the best spec weapons to completely useless. Increase accuracy and raise to 50m points. 

                     ~ Max Capes - Re-brand and combine into a "Max Cape Token." Use the token on said cape to make it a max cape variant. Make the token 30m ea and allow level 30 teleport effect. This excludes bounty cape variant, it should remain at 50m (however, I would love to see the level 30 wild level added to this cape.)

               > Add : To preface, prices MUST reflect market prices in some way to bring life into the bounty store. If prices don't reflect market prices, it's pointless to change anything.

                      ~ PVP Mystery Boxes - Whether it be the PVP Mystery Boxes themselves or the rare items from them, I would love to see them added to the bounty store as an alternative way to obtain them.

                      ~ Korasi's Sword - Correct me if I'm wrong, but this weapon isn't on a monster's drop table and can only be received as a CRAZY rare pull from a goodie bag or a mystery box/chest/bag. Give it a new home in the bounty hunter store as well.

                      ~ Slaughter Cape - Fits better in the bounty shop.

                      ~ Treasure Chest - Only on Bork drop table, would be a good addition to add to make bounty shop more profitable. 

                      ~ Bounty Teleport Tablets - They don't make sense being made how they currently are. Add to the bounty store for 10,000 points each. 

                      ~ Artifacts - Add artifacts for a high price (Gold 30m Stone 1m). Will convince people to gather emblems as an alternative path to artifact shop. The end-goal (grand promo) would still be incredibly hard to obtain (270 tier 10's) and would take quite some time to gather. Would make sense to be in the shop. 

                      ~ Crystal Armour Set - It would be interesting to see what you did with it, but I think it would fit nicely into here. 

                      ~ Repair Scrolls/Bloodlust Scrolls - Can only get from voting, can add as alternative way of getting. I doubt it would take away from voting.

                      ~ Bounty Hunter Hat - From OSRS Bounty Update

                      ~ Golden Godsword Specs - Cosmetic. Would be nice to see added for other weapons as well, such as claws. Perhaps added as a "Golden Special Scroll" and you select which weapon to add it to from a list (Korasi, Godswords, Claws, Dark Bow, Dragon Dagger, etc.).

 

4) Risk Requirement for Blood Revs or Wildy PVM

       - Of course with this, risk would = reward. I would love to see blood revs or wildy PVM require an orb risk, even if it is just a lesser blood orb. 

 

5) "Open X" on Cash Bags

      - Pretty self explanatory... add a right click "Open X" function. 

 

6) Veteran Ranks   

    - Just a cosmetic rank that lets people know players like me have served our time :). Either have it replace donor rank symbol or add it next to donor rank symbol.

 

7) Donator Rank Benefits

     - I think we all have noticed that donator ranks don't offer much, especially for PVP. Unless you plan on joining the AFK PVM army, ranks are just cosmetic fluff. I don't have any  specific recommendations for any of this, but a rework after people have been asking for one for years would be lovely. 

 

8 ) Blood Slayer Bow

     - Nerf. Nerf. Nerf.

     - It can spec 80s in rapid succession. It should be under-par for 3rd age bow, but it seems like it out-damages both 3rd age bow and zaryte bow. 

 

9) Remove Pid From Duel Arena

     - As someone who stakes frequently, please know this isn't about me complaining about how much I've lost. I, and many others, would love to see this.

     - The pid system is genuinely broken, more broken then when it didn't switch at all. It can switch 2 times in one stake, or not switch for 5 times. 

     - To keep the nostalgia of duel arena but make it more of a 50-50 chance, remove pid and allow double deaths. This will base the stake entirely on the rng of your specs. First and last hits occur at the same time, blah blah.

 

10) Teleporting and Teleblock

     - When a player teleports after teleblocking you, if you are not in combat for 20 seconds, let the teleblock dissapear. With the 20 second delay, this won't disrupt clans and it will save players from the annoying dilemma of waiting 5 mins for the timer to be up. 

 

11) Death Values

     - I don't have specific items, but some death values need to be adjusted. I know for one that Brackish Blade has way too high of a death value. 

 

12) Increase Friends List Size Limit

     - I've been at my limit for ages now. I don't want to delete old names because of nostalgia reasons. "Oh, do you remember..."

     - Raise the limit like what was done with clan chat limits.

 

13) PVP Weapon Nerfs

     - Balmung seems broken again, and Armadyl Battle Staff was over-nerfed. 

 

14) Remove "Fluff" From Mystery Chests

   - There is too much junk in mystery boxes/bags/chests now. They could use another rework. It's not even about "you need to get lucky," they have become too junk-y.

 

15) SPAWN "PVM"

     - Explain how drop rates work to players, many believe they are useless. 

              > Alternatively, display correct drop rates based on what is equipped. (@Kellatha)

     - Remove AFK Spawners 

               > I doubt this one will gain any traction, but something needs to be done about the AFK PVM. It is ridiculous. 

               > Remove personal spawners. 

               > Add spawns people must fight over if you MUST leave them in zones. 

               > Add 1-2 more spawns in wildy. Add better droprates for wilderness pvm. Encourage wilderness as much as possible.

 

16) Add Clear Ragging Rules or Bring it Back

     - The rules are very unclear on what is considered ragging and what isn't. I've had multiple people accuse me and team pkers of ragging. 

     - If you are going to listen to the "minority" and remove ragging, you need to make clear rules on what is considered ragging and what is not. 

     - Correct me if I'm wrong, but consistent pjing is considered ragging. This happens all the time in pking. I don't want to have to deal w/ someone calling rag 24/7.

 

17) Obelisk Set Destination (@2rawpker)

     - Make this a high donator benefit ($1000+)

     - OR add to bounty shop as a "scroll" for a high point count

 

18) New Staff (@hmong_dds)

     - Staff is very inconsistent.

     - I think some new staff members would be a great addition. Just some helpers to answer questions for newer players would be great.

 

19) Gambling "Ban" 

     - Add NPC that can ban you from gambling. Us addicts need some help.

 

20) Drop Log (@Kellatha)

    - Display monster kills and the number of drops you've received from said monster.

Wow. First of all. I love the effort you put into this and love all the content you wrote.
Now then. I only care about points 15, 16, 18 and 20.

I like this idea very much! I don't believe that they are useless but would love to see the correct drop rates based on what is equipped for sure! +1
+1 for point 16. Got nothing to add.

If I could add then just helpers is not enough. Forum is flooding with posts that require pin resets, account password resets, banned users and we have only one Admin that can deal with this but that one Admin has a life that he has to go through. Having additional Admin staff in community would help a lot. I'm not talking about adding somebody who may be inactive after getting Admin and turns into lazy bum. But, we need somebody, who's also active even after getting Admin. Right now, the admin is Phenomenon and he has tons of stuff he has to go through all alone and getting feedback from owners.. that's a long road and tiring one. Adding additional admin will help boost staff community a lot. Oh, and they should remove the getting feedback from owners because you literally have to wait for owner to come in and tell you something. Nah, just nah. Players don't want to wait for hours or days. They want immediate feedback. It's like getting a client and your manager ignores that client. Client will rate your company in stars 0-5 to freaking one or zero because nobody helped that client. Same logic applies to servers that have staffs and players. It's like managers and clients. (obviously, in real life, I don't think there are two or three managers at one small place)

SpawnPK discord is also flooding with messages that require immediate help. Players have been sitting non-stop and waiting for high ranked staff members to do something. One solution would be to give staff members more permissions and more trust in them plus more staff if possible. That's all from me on this topic.

1) Killstreak Bounty

-1, Killing a player on a killsteak isn't about getting rewarded, as people high high kill streaks are often risking bils already as it is. It's about the pride and possible clan satisfaction of ending a rivals streak, this just adds more bags into the game which is unnecessary 

2) Bounty Hunter

+1, in both edgville and deep pking I'm always getting skipped while trying to tier upgrade, its just frustrating. 

3) Bounty Store

I won't go too in depth for your every suggestions. However, bounty store has gotten some small tweaks not too long ago, it isn't a primary focus but should be in future consideration. I like the idea of adding bloodlust / repair scrolls to the store, but removes incentive from voting

4) Risk Requirement for Blood Revs or Wildy PVM

I think as it stands now the deep pvm system is fair. The only argument I have is yoshi is too broken. I liked the tax system in the past which was implemented, however the PVMers have a far greater voice on this server so yoshi tweaks are likely to be implemented unless your in #Elementals and making profit at Rev caves

5) "Open X" on Cash Bags

Huge +1, I have over 1k 10m bags in my bank and I CBA clicking them all

7) Donator Rank Benefits

+1 I've made this suggestion in the past, donator only really benefits PVMers with the exception of flasks and DFS special. I'd love to see more blood money earned per kill / better chance at x2 emblems, higher chance at artifacts, and higher chance at treasures the higher donator you are (stacks with boneguard, arc, etc...)

8 ) Blood Slayer Bow

+1, blood d bow too (needs far lower cap)

9) Remove Pid From Duel Arena

I don't gamble enough to care, but from what I've notices at duel arena PID system seems to be a bit fucked

10) Teleporting and Teleblock

Hasn't this already been implemented? At least if you kill the PVPer who tele blocked it resets

11) Death Values

I think protect values were modified not long ago but they always need adjustments especially with this fluctuating economy

12) Increase Friends List Size Limit

Imagine having friends lol can't relate

13) PVP Weapon Nerfs

Balmung, Blood scythe cap, blood slayer bow, blood d bow, blood cross bow, smite cap - in particular malev axe + holy zerk which can smite 70+ prayer points in 1 tick

50/50, don't need to see every chest giving 3+ grand crests & shit

15) SPAWN "PVM"

+1, Sick of seeing people make trills / week afking on a fucking alt account

16) Add Clear Ragging Rules or Bring it Back

+1, people are constantly overhead rushing / pjing in edge and nothing can be done about it since ragging is banned. I'd be in favor of bringing ragging back so long as rag cc's and intentionally harassing players due to clan affiliation / who they are isn't allowed. That just blatant griefing, ragging was never a problem and was actually in some cases a remedy

17) Obelisk Set Destination

-1 I don't get why this is necessary, you can already make one in you POH and there are so many wilderness tele commands I rarely use mine

18) New Staff

Always a +1, such inactive / incompetent staff. Fantastic staff / helper applicants like @Bsouth

19) Gambling "Ban"

I'll give this a +1 but it will never happen. Gambling fucks the eco by giving retards like John XD way too much money / economical influence. Also, constantly results in good players quitting

20) Drop Log
