Idk anything about freedomwares like linux, but the repair tool (1st topic) and jairfix (2nd topic) below are your first options.

Thought it was windows 10 :S, there's so finicky things with it. Downgrading to version 8 (and or older versions) seems to have worked for player's in the past, recent example:

@rspscodar Without knowing more info (OS?, etc) the only advice I can really give from here is to download the JDK version of Java and not JRE.
