[July 5th, 2019] Client performance fixes, QoLs, Combat fixes, Bug fixes, and MUCH more!

Content updates:

  • Client launcher (performance improvements, lag fixes)
    • We've added a brand new client updater and launcher! This will also be packed with some performance improvements, fixing a lot of reported lag issues!
    • In order to experience this, you must download the launcher which can be found here: https://www.spawnpk.net/assets/SPK.jar
      • Make sure you delete your old SPK launcher to reduce any confusion!

  • Holy phoenix pet
    • This new pet is now available at the pet fuser for a limited time!
    • Costs: 3x blood phoenix pets, 25x prayer spirit pets, 250x blood diamonds
    • Combined effects of the fused pets. Additionally, 1/6 of damage dealt is removed from your opponent's pray (stacks with smite and soulsplit)

  • Slaughter cape
    • This new cape is available at the blood money shop, and requires 5,000+ player killcount to purchase and equip!
    • It can be "bound" with any of your other capes to copy it's stats and effects
      • If you already have a completionist cape, infernal cape, etc. you can still reap its benefits!

  • Miscellaneous / QoLs
    • EdgePvP improvements
      • We've added the original OSRS edgeville map for the EdgePvP zone with proper clipping/pathing!
    • Dragon sapphire bolts (e)
      • New bolts in the blood money shop, special attack can smite opponent's prayer!
    • Extended stamina potions
      • New potion in the blood money shop, stamina duration is four minutes!
    • Added a "right-click attack NPC only" toggleable option to the settings tab
    • Added a CTRL+B hotkey for sponsors to activate their ::bank command
    • Added a killcount label to rare monster drop announcements
    • Added a feature to the repair dwarf where he can tell you what your repair costs will be if you died in your current gear/loadout
    • Added a warning dialogue for teleporting to BH targets that are in multi-zone (this can be toggled off via dialogue)
    • Added more revenant spawns to the revenant dungeon
    • Added "ranger tights" to the PK task scroll reward table
    • Added sapphire bolts (e) functionality
    • Added emerald bolts (e) functionality
    • Elite void recolored to OSRS dark colored variant
    • Well of goodwill point shop icons now go to your cosmetic slot
    • Improved the Abyssal sire drop table
    • Donator mystery boxes are now noteable
    • Blood capes are now noteable
    • Bounty capes are now noteable
    • Respawn timer for the spiders at KBD lever have been set to 60 seconds
       

Hot fixes (June 27th, 2019):

  • Re-balanced dark bow (and blood dark bow) special attack formula
  • Re-balanced karil's set effect + AoTD formula
  • Re-balanced dharok's set effect + AoTD formula
  • Fixed verac's set effect with AoTD, particularly against melee protection and use of magic

Combat improvements & fixes:

  • Prayer smiting
    • Fixed an issue where prayers are not disabled if you are smited on the killing blow
    • As a result of this major change, we're adding a "smite cap" of 35 prayer points per tick to keep things fair & balanced
  • Dharok's set effect
    • Hits will no longer be abnormally high if you are greater than 45 HP
    • You are now rewarded far more (in terms of accuracy and damage) if you risk at or below 35 HP
    • These changes are improvements from the recent re-balance (June 27th hotfix-)
  • Hybrid tournaments
    • The intended combat formula (::edgepvp) was not properly applying in hybrid world tournaments, hence everyone's confusion with the way things would play out. We have fixed this error, and combat during this tournament type will now work as originally intended
  • Sunspear improvements
    • Increased base melee attack stats by +10 and strength by +5
    • Increased special attack max hit cap from 85 to 87
    • Increased special attack accuracy
  • Prayer switching
    • Greatly improved the reaction time and speed of activating players
    • This improvement should be particularly great for NHers/Bridders!
  • Pathing fixes
    • Fixed a multitude of issues for walking & pathing for players who had the Oldschool 07 ticks option disabled
  • The blood dark bow re-balance from the June 27th hot fix has been refactored and improved
  • Fixed issues with max hit dummy displays
  • Fixed freezing mechanics for all weapons (elemental ice bolts, kharazi weaponry, whip special attack, ZGs, etc.)
  • Fixed issues with DFS spec with other weapon combos leading other players to being "blocked" from out eating the hits
  • Fixed an issue with the right-click "Cast on" option for spells when selecting a stack of multiple players in one tile
  • Removed an unintended nerf for DWH spec, making it slightly better than before
  • Added a max hit cap of 78 for BGS spec (it was previously better than AGS at certain scenarios)
  • Elderblood ring accuracy boost increased from 10% to 15% (damage has remained the same)
  • Elderblood ring now counts as a ring of vigour and a blood ring (recoil)
  • Slightly improved malevolent weapon special attack accuracy
  • Re-balanced armadyl battlestaff attack speed
  • Blood serpentine helmet will now increase max hit caps by +1, much like ferocious gloves
  • Dragon sword special attack is capped to 45 against protection prayers
  • Fixed brackish blade attack styles from slash to stab
  • Reduced freeze immunity from spells by 1 tick
  • Fixed various issues with weapon attack style interfaces

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed AFK guard jailing players during the Solarkath boss fight
  • Fixed the "enter x amount" dialog being interrupted by other player's offers in trading/staking/gambling screens
  • Fixed an issue with repairing items with a full bank that caused items to dissappear
  • Fixed an issue with the PJ timer being too short for monsters in the wilderness
  • Fixed an issue with vespula pet's venom damage bonus working on players
  • Fixed an issue with enchanted partyhat
  • Fixed an issue with equipping items sometimes appearing as different items
  • Fixed an issue with the well of goodwill interface text
  • Fixed the malevolent barrelchest drop table's missing barrelchest war axe
  • Fixed superior artifacts during the revenant cave hotspot
  • Fixed improper hover description for holy hawk pet
  • Fixed void knight gloves being omitted from the blood shard salvager
  • Fixed an issue with the ::ccban command not properly working
  • Fixed an issue with the "examine" option on monsters showing drop tables for different monsters
  • Removed the antiquated "Charge" option from yoshi pets
